January 18, 2018 – Very Good Painters opening reception

Very Good Painters: a Hague Gallery exhibition

January 15 – February 25, 2018; Opening reception January 18th, 7 pm

Featuring: Jeff Morton, Simon Fuh, Evan Tyler, Annette Nedilenka, and Nic Wilson

A group exhibition aimed at systematically poking fun at the notion of High Art and the traditional gallery system. A cheeky look at the classic fine art dichotomy, these artists utilize subversive art practices, from drawing with sharpies to re-imagining film slides, to understand their place within contemporary art. By referencing the respected art form of painting, each piece seeks to understand how traditional media fail to capture the artist within our continually evolving, visually-overloaded society.’

*Note: Some pieces in this exhibition contain content that some may find challenging.  Viewer discretion is advised.*
