Lucas Chaisson, a Cochrane, Alberta native “is an honest and confident writer who isn’t afraid to tread familiar ground with new eyes.  Often described as an old soul, Lucas uses the musical stylings of a past generation to honestly and succinctly capture the experiences of a prairie youth. With refined finger picking and gently percussive strumming, Chaisson proves a striking command over the guitar for someone so young. His is a unique blend of country, rock, folk and pop not to be missed.” L.Prost –Calgary Folk Festival

Chaisson is quickly becoming one of Canada’s most exciting young singer-songwriters.  Since he was 15, the Albertan tunesmith has been turning heads. Following his 2012 Canadian Folk Music Award winning CD Growing Pains, Lucas returns from Nashville with the long-awaited new recording Telling Time. Produced by Grammy winner Colin Linden, it has been very well received, making its debut as #2 on the CKUA Charts and remaining on the Top 30. Telling Time was also just nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award for Roots Solo Recording of the Year!
