Julia And Her Piano And Her Friends, Saturday, October 22, 8 pm doors

We continue to be pleasantly surprised by the calibre of our local talent…people like Danny Goertz, Andy Shauf, Alexis Normand and Belle Plaine, just to name a few.  We are also really happy to see our venue becoming a showcase room for these artists, and especially happy when they take the initiative to put together a show with other artists.  That is the case for Saturday, October 22nd, as we present Julia McDougall and her piano, along with two of her friends from BC, Ciseaux (Victoria) and Ma Petite (Vancouver).   Doors open at 8 pm, and tickets are $7 at the door.

The Regina Fashion Collective is getting ready to open their doors for business, but first, we are hosting a fundraising event as a pre-opening celebration!  The collective needs to raise some funding to help with some of their start up costs, including purchasing a security gate, a point of sale system, and a washer/dryer and other equipment.

Folk Thief! My Boy Rascal! with Kevin Shone, Thursday, October 13, 8 pm doors

Poster

Folk Thief and My Boy Rascal are touring from Vancouver to Newfoundland and back to Vancouver.  They played here on their journey east way back in August, and we were so impressed by their performances that we asked if there was any chance of a repeat performance on their way home.  They shuffled some tour dates for us, and we are THRILLED to announce they are playing on our little stage on Thursday, October 13th!  This is a DON’T MISS performance.  In caps.  That’s how serious we are.  Don’t miss this one.  These are two very talented young fellows.  And as if that wasn’t enough, we’re adding another talented young Reginan to the bill…Kevin Shone has a brand new CD release and we’re looking forward to hearing some of his tunes live and in person.  Tickets are $8 advance and $10 at the door.  Did we say this already?  Don’t miss it!  This was one of our favourite shows of the summer!

Canadian Women in Music: Gabrielle Papillon and Kim Wempe, Saturday, October 8, 8 pm doors

Now that fall is upon us, we are getting serious about promoting a monthly concert series featuring “Canadian Women in Music”.  We started that series in May when we opened with a concert featuring Toronto’s Lis Soderberg, but the efforts of getting this building up and running forced us to put our marketing plans on hold.  So, even though we have presented a wide variety of “Canadian women in music” in the past few months (Redbird, Ann Vriend, Olenka, Jen Lane, Belle Plaine, Carrie Catherine, etc.), this concert is finally going to be presented under our banner: Canadian Women In Music!  We are delighted to present two outstanding talents, Gabrielle Papillon from Montreal, and Kim Wempe from Nova Scotia (born in Saskatchewan!).  Tickets are $8 advance and $10 at the door.
